Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think couch surfing is a great way to share our lives, ideas and cultures. Its a chance to be open and get close to someone you may have never met otherwise. I regularly invite travelers to my home for meals or accommodation. I really enjoy the interchange and would love more opportunities to be hospitable. Plus, I love travelers and all things traveling, I'm very curious and love to learn. Can I eat that weed in my garden? What's it like in Istanbul? Where's the best vegetarian food in Cork? Too much fun!

Interests

Tango dancing,surfing, biking, singing, walking, hiking, languages, swimming, tennis, beach volleyball, horseback riding, sewing, painting, gardening,diving, recycling, crafts, reading all the books I can get my hands on, cooking, animals, medicinal plants, health, people, psychology, astronomy, physics, photography and traveling! I work with my community on improvement projects for the environment, schools and well being.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like movies but I don't have many opportunities to see them where I live. I liked The Boy in Striped Pajamas because it made me think. "Demain" was excellent and encouraging. Not big on action or thriller. I like true stories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One thing?? That would be hard to say. Amazing things happen everyday!
I used to have a Guinea Fowl (like a chicken) and it was special in many ways, but one day I saw it herd cows!

Teach, Learn, Share

I really like to bond over tea. I love to cook so I'm always on the lookout for new recipes. Share your favorites with me and maybe I can give you a couple to take home. One thing I like about Costa Rica is the fresh fruit. I make lots of smoothies.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm an avid forager and make my own hair and cleaning supplies. I have lots of simple, healthy recipes in mind. I am great at simplifying homes, to make them more organized, calm and ecological. I have gardening and construction experience. Love to work on projects!!
I can give encouragement and help you find the positive side of almost any situation.
