About Me

CURRENT MISSION

alles ist moglich = anything is possible!

ABOUT ME

I very much enjoy meeting people and learning through my travels.

This year, I've had to balance work and life in a new city. I certainly learned a lot this year about myself and my environment. I spent my childhood in the Philippines, and spent the other half of my life in Vancouver. I recently moved to the other side of the country, Ottawa, for a new job, change and adventure.

Others have described me as easy going and open minded. I do get along with others very easily. I get more energy when am around other people.

My motto for the moment: live simply and care deeply.

PHILOSOPHY

For today, do something you love doing and admire.

One quote that seems to stay with me: "pain passes, but beauty remains" I think that applies to a lot of things

My dad always says: "Always bring your sunshine with you"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've couchsurfed for the first time in Europe in 2009.
I've also hosted when I used to live in Vancouver.
I live in Ottawa now and while I can't host regularly, I've met great people in Ottawa through CS, especially when I first moved here.
I've also couchsurfed in Montreal with amazing hosts

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I found out about couchsurfing in 2009 through a friend who, after finding out my lack of funds but willing spirit to travel, recommended that I try couchsurfing. I was both excited and nervous about the idea. I had the best time and memories with all of my hosts. It changed the way I travel - not just in a sense of sustainable way to travel, most importantly, I genuinely fall in love with the culture, language, food and the people.

Interests

I work in finance by trade, but I love the arts - photography, fashion, music.

I love the outdoors. I spent half my life in British Columbia. I simply love snowboarding, hiking, biking.

I'm also interested in volunteering, and international development and international relations. Currently, I live in Ottawa and am interested in policies. I really am a newbie in this area, but I would like to learn more.
