Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In 2009 a backpacker in Istanbul whose host was a photographer introduced me to couch surfing. The idea that people were sharing everything from their local knowledge to their sofas without the malevolent force of profit was too good to ignore. I set up a profile days after staying with that photographer and since then every couch surfing experience has been worthwhile.

Interests

Trying new food, especially curries, learning about the political and social environment of a country, exploring historical sites, staying in remote locations, hearing new music, understanding religions and ideas...the list goes on.
