About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Immediately after graduation travel SE Asia or Europe.

ABOUT ME

Currently I'm a student at Ringling College of Art and Design, in my last year studying graphic design. My general goals immediately following graduation is to get my TESOL or TEFL teaching degree and move to Seoul, South Korea by June 1st, 2010. I love to go out for drinks, go to the beach, read, and attend the numerous art shows available in Sarasota. I adore watching movies, cuddling with my loud cat, and playing drunk volleyball on the beach. My schedule is a little insane when school starts (i.e. 60 hour weeks if I'm lucky), but I always make time to come up for air.

PHILOSOPHY

work hard, play hard.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Although I have not hosted or been hosted (I'm new, remember!) but I've met some amazing people from all around the world who have been hosted by my friends in Sarasota. Would love to host and be hosted!

Interests

Reading, the beach, hanging out with friends, going to art shows, working on my many graphic design related projects, horseback riding on occasion, sports, drunk (or sober for that matter) beach volleyball, going to wine tastings, traveling, watching movies, hanging out with my cat, and watching law and order.

Music, Movies, and Books

horror movies when with a friend (can't watch alone), anything comedy, have a wide array of musical tastes from ska to rap, jazz to the radio. LOVE to read, I have a kindle (amazon.com's e-book reader) so I'm constantly reading, about 3-4 books a week...from bestsellers to classics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most unreal moment of my life was being at the inauguration of president Obama in Washington, D.C. There were 2.5 MILLION PEOPLE in the big grassy knoll...the place was insane. When he started to talk, you could hear a pin drop. Everyone was silent, watching history in the making. Not a child cried, or a cell phone went off. After he finished, it was pandemonium. Everyone was drinking and making merry, was truly one of the best celebrations I've been a part of.

Teach, Learn, Share

Love to show people how to use Macs and the design suite programming, so you can build your own business cards, websites, posters, cd covers, etc.
