ABOUT ME

I love having new experiences. I enjoy staying out late, but can be perfectly content to stay at home reading a book or watching a movie. I have travelled to just about every state in the U.S. and most countries in Latin America. More than anything about the places I've been, I treasure the people I've met. You can put a tall building or a fancy church anywhere, but a 4 hour conversation with a complete stranger is something to truly remember.

PHILOSOPHY

Live like you mean it. You only get one chance at life, so take advantage of it while you can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment, I am travelling, hoping to meet many Couch Surfers along the way. When I get back home and settled down, I will be trying to repay the help I've received by hosting as many people as I can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My favorite CS experience was at Casa Mercurio in Costa Rica. Callum's profile instructed surfers to just come on by and let him know they were coming if they could. So that's just what I did and I was welcomed by Callum and his neighbors with open arms. I actually ended up staying a few extra days because it was such an awesome place.

Interests

I'm interested in biking, hiking, rock climbing and film making, but I'm always up for trying something new. I also enjoy volunteering with non-profits around Seattle through the group "One Brick".

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to read, but years of always reading before bed has conditioned my body to become super tired as soon as I pick up a book and read 2 pages. My music collection is too big to fit on even the biggest MP3 player, and the styles ecclectic enough to confuse even the most open minded of people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I dove off of a glacier in Alaska and swum around with the surrounding icebergs. In contrast, I have also roasted marshmallows over an active lava flow in Guatemala. The list goes on, but why don't we sit down and share stories over coffee or a good beer?
