ABOUT ME

I am a positive and original thinker. I enjoy challenges and new experiences and I like to question my routines and taboos. I am an active motivated guy and I think about things a lot, perhaps too much!

I have had a fairly comfortable upbringing but I enjoy roughing it and can sleep pretty much anywhere. I like almost all types of food and am a very keen cook. I love playing games like cards, chess, back-gammon and scrabble. I'd like to learn a few more next year.

I enjoyed university but I've had enough of formal education, I think I can learn a lot more from meeting people in a less structured environment. After traveling, I will spend a couple of years teaching in deprived inner-city school, probably in London. After that, I want to set up my own business.

I try and exercise every day, whether playing sport, cycling or walking my dog. I completely suck at football but It' still fun to play. I like surfing (waves!) and scuba diving. I get a thrill from heights and love chilling on roof tops.

PHILOSOPHY

Be easygoing when it doesn't matter but give it everything when you really care.
If you can laugh when everything screws up, then the world is yours.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to meet as many surfers as possible this year and establish good relationships by being a generous and courteous guest in order to enhance their opinion of this project

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No official surfing as yet.
I have done a fair bit of hitch-hiking during my time at uni.
I arrived one night early at a Judo competition with no where to stay and made friends with some girls who let me sleep in their kitchen.
I'm sure I'll have more to write in a few months!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw a turtle nest hatching by moonlight in the Caribbean. I watched hundreds of baby turtles dig their way out the sand and crawl down to the silver waves.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a degree in maths and physics and I am going to be a Maths teacher. I really enjoy teaching and I would be happy to help you or your children learn about maths or physics. I am a good chess player, perhaps I can teach you a few tactics!
