About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finding ways to design sustainable systems and communities that sustain our environment and so too us.

ABOUT ME

I've been in and out of Knoxville, TN the past few years. Starting school in Chicago this Fall for a Masters in Architecture and Landscape Architecture. I've spent lots of time in community gardens over the past years and want to play a bigger role in the design of landscapes, buildings and communities. I've toyed with compost and biogas in the fields and want to toy more with design beyond the pottery I do. I enjoy traveling, more so to immerse myself in the local culture and landscape than for the sights. Human interaction is vital for a meaningful experience.

And the rest of the "about me" will come as I get to know "about you" :-)

PHILOSOPHY

It is my intention to be good to all people to the best of my ability. It is not my right or ability to judge someone. I live for being with others. I definitely enjoy people. I don't think that I really know a stranger.

So in a sentence: Be good to each other as to benefit the other in a positive way, whether or not they are the best to you in return.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like the idea of people supporting each other, sharing the sights and making travel more than a series of pics of local sights, but experiences enjoyed with new friends. I would like to host more once in a stable spot; I've been floating for the past couple years.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed with a few Couchsurfers. In times of crazy travel, I was lucky enough to have great hosts not just hosting me, but introducing me to so many new and different experiences. I made friends with these people and I encourage you to do the same with your hosts!
