About Me

Hi there! I'm a 28yo lecturer at a University College in Ghent. I love meeting new people, discovering new things and places, having a good laugh and great talks.
Besides travelling, I love to read, dance, listen to music and going to the theater. I've also just started a first course in ceramics.

When I was a student, I did my Erasmus year in Spain (Granada), which had a huge (positive) impact on me. I love seeing my friends back from all over the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As my boyfriend Mathieu (who's a sports physiotherapist) and I love travelling so much, we have decided to apply for a sabbatical and go and travel through South America next year. Because we will be away from home for a long time, we need to think of our budget. Couchsurfing is the perfect way for meeting new people in a budget-friendly way.

Interests

I also used to be a jazz ballet teacher for kids in my spare time.

Music, Movies, and Books

That's a hard one!
Music: from deep house to latin american vibes, from funk to rock, from jazz to pop. :-)
I love artists like Paul Kalkbrenner, Daft Punk, Massive Attack, Basement Jaxx, Solange, Beyonce, Kölsch, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Chet Faker, Angus and Julia stone, Major Lazer, ...

Movies: I love Pedro Almodovar's movies! I also love movies about inspirational women, like La môme (Edith Piaf), Frida (Frida Kahlo), Nina (Nina Simone), ...

Books: you can follow me on Goodreads. ;-) But the first book I really loved as a child was "the God of small things"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A couple of years ago I've coordinated a project in Berlin for 200 international students, coming from Universities all over the world. Amazing (eventhough stressy) experience.
