About Me

CURRENT MISSION

my mission is one of exploration, inspiration, and just trying to absorb and understand this amazing life we have been blessed with. big up planet earth!

ABOUT ME

im just yer average humble ho'bummin wandering minstrel type, livin day by day hand to mouth foot down to mother earth, minding my p's and q's and tryin to make people smile... i love this life!! you know, just like everyone else i get bummed out or have my off days but then i just have to remember that i am LIVING, BREATHING AIR... i am a citizen of this EARTH and that realization always positivitizes me! this life can be gritty and grimey but most of the time we take for granted the fact that we are blessed creatures, we are cognitive and capable of anything. but the times we are living in, Kali Yuga, disintigration, most people tend to focus on the negatives, the lust after money and materialism and all things immoral. i try to break it down and keep it simple. family, friends, music, good literature, great food and a hot pot of tea. fresh roasted beans of the season. travelling through these blessed lands mother earth provides. these are the things i hold dear to me. im a humble canadian prarie lad but my heart is in asia and the sub continant. blessed mother india, how i long for your embrace once again..... music, art, language. literature; these things interest me intensely. random facts and trivia. snowboarding!! history!!! love!!!! being in love and being loved. laying on the couch on a rainy evening and reading a great book. putting pen to paper. being spontaneous and random and saying what you think, and doing what you want, within reason. dont pull your punches and dont limit yourself...

PHILOSOPHY

dont take life TOO seriously, its not permanent.

Music, Movies, and Books

im definately a fan of these! to list them in the order of importance to me it would definaltely be music, books and then film. music is extremely important to me. you are just as likely to find me listening to beethoven as daft punk or led zeppelin. thelonious monk, roy orbison, justice, plants and animals, aesop rock. im an avid reader. haruki murakami, david mitchell, ernest hemmingway, tolkien, scott fitzgerald shakespeare poe. ive always meant to read nietzsche. as for film, i tend to prefer independant, foreign, anime and documentaries to the latest hollywood blockbusters.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

back in 2005, a japanese friend named miwa tanimoto and i coaxed an old british motorcycle almost 10000km around india. we rode that old girl up the west coast, through the deccan plateau, across the great thar desert and up into the himalaya. pretty much everywhere you could ride, we did. we road her to the roads end in the gharwal himalaya then hiked up to the physical source of the mother ganga and bathed in those blessed waters with the sadhus... oh hindustan, when will i see you again?

Countries I’ve Visited
