About Me

CURRENT MISSION

live and let live

ABOUT ME

I'm a very honest person, and very direct (sometimes that's cruel). I trust every one and have no fear. Oh yes, I do : I will never do a bungi-jump.
I have an open mind, try not to critisize, I am curious for culture, religion, believes and a lott more.
I'm not the funiest in a company.I don't like being in a mass off people but if I am, I prefer a healthy mix off men and women.
The most important persons in my life are my children and grand children.
From very small child I dreamed off travelling around the world. I was told that travelling can not feed your hunger, but my mental hunger needs to be fed to, but no blame. I know a mother in India will tell her daughter the same.
Whenn I see the list of country's to choose where to go, there is no place where I would not go to, and if I could I would love to speak every language to communicate.
So, I'm not sure reincarnation does excist, but if it is : I need some more lives to go around the world....
My house is my freedom, my place to share. If you come, enjoy the house and the garden, if you want a coffee, please make one for me to. I'll share my life and I expect you to do the same. If you abuse, you'll never be welcome again... so simple it is.
If you want to know more, come and see me......

PHILOSOPHY

The longer I live, the longer I realise in every philosophy there is some interesting ideas.
Buddism is very interesting on this moment, but tomorrow ?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Since 25 years I started me own CS project. I took hitchhikers and every one looking for a place to sleep to my house. Offering them a bed, a couch, the garden for the tent. And many times people stayed for more days than planned. New-Zealand, Australia, Poland, The Netherlands.... and more I can think about, in a lott off country's there are people believing that Belgium is the most hospital country in the world.I believed it would be good for my kids minds. And it was.
But after all, I just feel happy to meet people and have them around, so it's all about myself.
I have a couch, a double bed if no granchildren are sleeping here, and anough space in my living room to have some friends are even a familly to stay over.
My village is very small. By train it's easy to reach Antwerp, Brussels etc. But you can walk around in a beautifull nature. Or give yourself a lazy day with nothing to do than maybe have a nice chat... we'll see.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Without being member before, the idea is well known by me. On my travels I had been offered a couch and could really appreciate a place in a familly and taste the life in an other country. What's better to know about the country you're travelling in ? And because I'm curious about human beings I like to share my home and space with others. Question off respect and every experience is a good one. Had no others.....

Music, Movies, and Books

Classic music is for calmed, David Byrne has the most sexy voice, Bob Marley makes me dancing through the cleaning work.... From bib I take 1 novel, 1 detective and at least 1 through happened story. Love travelling stories. Do not like SF or violent movies, but for all the rest? I never know it will be good before seeing, hearing or reading it. Give me variation....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing a turtle in Sri Lanka on the beach, crying after laying her eggs in the sand. All the colourfull festivals in India. How handicaped persons have the space in Marocco, India etc., my trip in Cambodia into the most beuatifull jungle.... my 50th birthday with kids and full-moon on an island in Thailand...

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm old and wise. Maybe I can give you a bit of my wisdom.(hihi)
And cause I'm also old and not so strong anymore, you could give me a help in the garden...
And philosophy in the garden.
