Overview
About Me
I'm a musician and a physicist/engineer who moved to Guyana (yes, it is a real country) to become a science teacher, and then helped start a highly successful beard company while living on an urban farm on Detroit's east side, and then decided to become an engineer and soon will be moving to Panama for a couple years to work with an indigenous community to improve their access to clean water and safe ways to store poop. i moved to Portland last year to work in renewable energy, and hydroelectric technology.
We will get along if you love music, nature, bikes, art, beer, fighting for justice for all human beings, talking about poop, reckless adventures, sure, responsible ones too.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's a weird thing, the couch surfers and hosts I've met over the years, no matter how brief the encounter, have really stayed with me. Awesome, generous folks. Memories I'll take to the grave.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Survived the Linden-Lethem road, got to watch wild cow milking, accidentally passed out in the middle of the jungle a few miles from Jonestown, ate tapir stew.
Teach, Learn, Share
Humans are designed to sleep in hammocks, and move around on their legs. Strap your mattress to the roof of your car and push it off a cliff.
