On a 1 year solo backpacking trip through Asia, North and South America

I'm Pieter, a music/arts/literature and travel lover from Belgium. In 2023, I’m taking a year off from my job as a copywriter in advertising to travel the world.

I’ve used Couchsurfing when I was younger, loved it, and decided to use it again for my Big Trip. I’m hoping to meet some wonderful people, have nice dinners, share stories and connect. I’d be most grateful if you would host me!

I'll just give a quick description of my favorite pastimes:
- playing music (Guitar, piano, singing)
- dancing

- going to concerts, the theater, museums - basically everything arts and culture related

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I had a great time Couchsurfing in Treviso, Italy, when I was visiting Venice. I stayed there with a very open-minded hostfamily. This was my first couchsurfing experience and it was a fantastic one. Since then, I have only good memories of it and would love to do it again.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It is impossible for me to sum up all these things. Skydiving for my 18th birthday would be pretty high on the list though. And my year as an exchange student was also amazing.
