ABOUT ME

Nicole-

I just graduated this past summer from the University of New Mexico; I Majored in Philosophy with a concentration in Pre-Law and Minored in Business Management. With what little free time I had the past four years I spent it traveling, and before I go back to get my Graduate degree I plan on traveling for a year. I find nothing more rewarding in life than to immerse myself in other cultures. Being able to experience how even the most basic form of communication like saying hello differs all over the world is astounding to me.

Laura-

For the past few years I have worked and volunteered with various non-profits in El Paso. In the process I have developed a deep devotion to my community and seek to make some sort of positive impact in it. Some of the various organizations I have worked in are educating the community in water conservation and recycling, promoting immigrant’s rights, environmental justice, voter registration during the 2008 presidential election, and worked with low income communities by providing services to families including character skills education for children. I have since decided to take a bit of a break from work, and now have every intention on jumping into an existence of a full time backpacker…
