I want to learn. Learn to know other cultures, other ideas and other ways of life.

ABOUT ME

After studying for what seemed like ages I'm finally able to what I always loved to do. The benefits of my job is that I come into contact with loads of people (and animals) and that I get to be outside.

When I'm travelling I'm looking for a place where I can escape the modern world and get to places that are hard to reach; I love standing on a ridge looking down into the valley, knowing the only way to get there is by going on foot for a couple of days.
The more exotic those places are the better, unfortunately time, money, and the ecological impact of the flight holds me back.

Other than that I obviously love spending time with my friends, drinking beer, going to concerts, running, photography,...

Oh, and hitchhiking's a thing too!! Probably my favourite way of transport.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

On my own travels I'm more interrested in local flora and fauna and in search of "the middle of nowhere". Usually there not many couchsurfhosts in the neighbourhood :-) so a tent is an essential in my backpack.
Therefore I'de like to compensate this lack of social contact abroad by opening my door to as many people as possible.

Interests

Flora, fauna and nature conservation are things that are very important to me.
Next to this I'm very interrested in music (!), literature and films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every spring me and some friends have a hitchhike-contest. Last year we went to Berlin, and this year to Montpellier. It doesn't matter if you win or not, it's the overall experience that's most important. Met lots of great people and had lots of fun!
Next year maybe Prague?
