Music is life for me and exploring and sharing music is what I most love doing.

ABOUT ME

I never know what to write for these things...

I am from the US but I have been living and working in Japan for nearly a decade. I am a salaryman in the work day world and musician and events organizer in the real world.

Two years ago I found the thing that has defined a lot of my life. My partner and I started to explore the music of the Silk Road and started our band RainInEden www.rainineden.com

We blend music and traditional instruments from all the Silk Road regions and make it our own. We play events in Japan and hope to venture out into the world in the future.

Our belief is that through music, people can discover each other beyond the barriers of language, culture or politics. So in our own little way we hope we are opening people up to learning about distant countries and hopefully learning to see how much we have in common as human beings.

I am politically and socially very liberal. I love the arts and creative people. And love meeting new friends.

I have never traveled much so I hope this is the start of making up for that and seeing more of the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Why do I live my life? To love the people I care about, experience the events and challenges life presents, to try to make things a little better than when I got here. And to play music and hopefully make a few people happy when they listen.

Tokyo. You really must see this place once in your life. The mountains of Northern Utah. The Deserts of Southern Utah. Seattle, the best city I have ever lived in.
