About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To get my doctorate in Anthropology.

ABOUT ME

I'm a student, a son, a brother, a thinker, an anthropologist, a servant, an artist, a writer, a photographer, a reader, a collector, a procrastinator, a musician, an activist, a dreamer, a lover not a fighter.

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophical theories are constantly changing based on my experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love traveling. And I love connecting with people who love to travel. This project makes doing that easier.
I've only recently started hosting, and absolutely love practicing hospitality.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had a blast staying with an excellent host in Seattle.
I've hosted in Vancouver and really enjoyed it.

Interests

I'm interested in how our individual perspectives and cultural experiences shape who we are and how we live.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Anything that is well written, acted, and directed. But I also enjoy campy flicks. I don't really like anything that requires me to "turn off my brain" in order to enjoy.

Music: Eclectic mix of almost anything. I really enjoy music that gives me a strong nostalgic feeling. A single song that is tied to one specific memory is my favourite. They're like mental time machines.

Books: Anything that inspires me or changes the way I think. Currently reading a lot about the evolution of morality as it applies to artificial intelligence.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've survived 3 scooter crashes while teaching english in Taiwan.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to whistle loudly using nothing but a dime and your knuckles. I can teach you something about how your cultural heritage influences everything you are. I can teach you about God and faith without being preachy and annoying. I can teach you about Ancient Near Eastern creation myths and how they coincide with evolutionary theory.
I'd like to learn more languages, more art styles, more songs to play on guitar.
I can share a passion for engaging dialogue. And I can share candy. I always have candy.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Mexico, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, Canada, Taiwan, United States
