Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Soviet people could hardly travel, and after the split of the USSR our salaries were not high, so me, like many other Russians, for a long time had no habit and opportunity to look around the world. now being more free I decide to travel and come closer to my dream: meeet people of diffrent countries and cultures.
I am sure that each and every nation and person is able to show and teach me something interesting.
I have a big flat which is however being usually inhabited by many people but when I can I welcome CS guests. we like to receive guests, and we have many friends in Europe, Asia and America. foreign friends come to us since 1989, we like to ask people about their life, and we are proud of our national history and culture.
i am usually not able to show you around but i can give proposals concerning museums and all like that.if we have enough time we are glad to arrange sharing secrets of national cooking and talk about culture and history.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

people come to us since 1989, but we entered CS in 2009.
our surfing experience was in September 2009 when we traveled in Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Holland owing to generous help of many CS members.
in February 2011 I travelled to Finland, and kind CS hosts made this short trip un forgettable!
we received guests from Germany, Bulgaria, France, Finland, Poland, India, South Korea, Mongolia, Belgium, USA, Taiwan, New Zealand (not all of them through cs)...
