About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to grow, to live life with enthusiasm and an open heart
ABOUT ME
I live with my 16 year old daughter, May, in a loft apartment in downtown Lowell. I love to meet new people; there is so much to learn from everyone! I like to study and practice languages, so if you speak French, Spanish or Khmer, we can talk! I also enjoy doing research about natural health on-line. In my free time I go to Dance Freedom (a multi-age alcohol free weekly dance) in Cambridge, Spanish and French practice/social groups, attend cultural activities, and read or watch some tv in French and Spanish (an effective way of learning a language for me). My daughter is adorable, intelligent, and friendly. We are silly with each other; we enjoy each other's company tremendously. I live an alcohol and drug free lifestyle
I love to hear travel stories, too, and about other cultures.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in miracles.
I believe that the human spirit is very powerful.
May believes that our minds are capable of doing so many more things than we use them for, and that the mind is very powerful.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I joined CoachSurfing in August 2009. We enjoyed the experience very much as we love meeting new people and love traveling. I've been virtually off of coachsurfing for 2 years. My life has quieted down and I am back and excited about coach surfing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I traveled in Cambodia for 5 months in 1992 and 1993 arriving just after the United Nations. I traveled by motorcycle, ferry, fishing boat, and once got to ride on an elephant in Phnom Penh. I learned a lot of Khmer and got to stay with Khmer families sometimes. This experience was life changing for me and deepened the admiration I already feel for Cambodia and the Khmer people.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would like to learn about juicing, sprouting, and other things pertaining to natural health. I like to learn about different cultures.
I live in a city with 30,000 Cambodians along with refugees and immigrants from Laos, Vietnam, India, Puerto Rico, Dominican Replublic, Columbia, Kenya, Nigeria, D.R. of Congo, Rwanda, Somalia, Bhutan, Burma, and many more countries. There are some amazing
international restaurants in Lowell as well as Buddhist and Hindu temples. I can take you to some interesting restaurants, temples, and possibly to cultural events.
