About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet many different people and travel to many different countires.

ABOUT ME

Well where do I start... I am a very friendly, open and loyal kinda person. I pretty much get along with most people and am very easygoing. I hate conflict, so I try to keep the peace most times, unless I am very upset or feel strongly about something, in that case I will probably surprise you. I am a very free spirit and always change my mind, but find it hard to make decisions. I hate the thought of routine, mundane lifestyle and living in one place for too long. I still feel like I have alot of soul serching and 'finding myself' to do. I love the fact that you are always learning something new everyday, be it small or big. I think the unknown is so exciting and that anything is possible. I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. Oh and I can be quite funny in a kwirky kind of way too. Anyway I could go on forever...

PHILOSOPHY

I am a very strong believer that things always happen for a reason, whether you see it at the time or not. I have had many of these experiences so far...I also believe that we are put on this earth all for different reasons, to fulfill some kind of duty I guess. I live my life for myself and not for anyone else, although it has taken me a while to think like this. I have quite strong views on Kharma, what you give is what you get return.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am just a new user to Couch Surfing and would love to surf in many different countries one day. At the moment I don't really have a spare anything for anyone as I'm living with my parents and it's kind of crowded. But in the new year I am hoping to have my own place, and would love to start hosting fellow couchsurfers. I experienced secondhand some couchsurfers as a close friend of mine did it in Jasper, Alberta (Canada), and was very intrigued, thinking this would be a great way of life! I met quite a few of her surfers and enjoyed the diversity of people coming through. I think CS is a great way to meet new people and travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The only experience so far I have had with CS was very brief. My friend in Canada hosted quite a few and one night accidently 'overbooked' some, so I offered to lend a bed to one as we lived in the same apartment building. He was a very pleasant guy from the UK and quite interesting. But I hope to have more one of these days...

Interests

I am very interested in the world! Different cultures, ethics and lifestyles. I love stand-up comedy and the arts. I enjoy food (alot, actually too much),and good wine. I have developed a love for kayaking and hiking thanks to a summer in Canada. I am also interested in Buddhism, I love thier philosophies on life. The list goes on really, I will have to add to this time and time.

Music, Movies, and Books

I could name so many different genres of music, movies and books that interest me, but in reality, no-one really cares what your favourite movie or book is, as I dont think it defines a person at all. Yeah it might be a conversation starter or a common interest but it's not until you really get to know someone and spend some quality time with them that it matters.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have recently created a WOW list of places/atmoshperes I have encounted and experienced. My list includes;
A desert safari in Dubai with my family, New Years Eve in Times Square, camping at the most amazing, breathtaking, secluded lake in Canada with my best friend, New Years Eve in Paris, looking back at the NYC skyline in Brooklyn at sunset, skinnydipping in an icecold lake at 3am in Jasper. I am sure there will be many more of these moments to come. Watch this space...

Teach, Learn, Share

I learnt this with my best bud trying to get a perfect stick for toasting marshmallows. I will hopefully teach some how...So if you can't find any type of branch or stick at eye level (and we couldnt), make sure you have access to some rope, tie a loop in one end and learn how to lasoo. Find some good trees with branches/sticks growing from it and lasso around the branch (this is all up the tree by the way). You then pull down hard on the rope and hopefully you snap the branch off. You then have yourself a perfect marshmallow toasting stick. I hope this has helped some/any of you.
