Overview
About Me
I'm Adila, a 27 year old avid hiker/explorer from London, England. I grew up here and lived in Manchester for 3 years whilst at University.
I'm currently training to be a Primary school teacher in London which is challenging but rewarding. Before this I took a career break and travelled across USA, India, Sri Lanka, Australia and New Zealand. It was amazing and I'm excited to spend my summer holidays traveling again.
I travel a lot and am always planning my next trip / holiday. I'm a keen rambler / hiker and love the getting to see the great outdoors- whether that be in England or abroad. This summer I am planning to walk the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path which will be a challenge!
I'm liberal, positive, enjoy live music and the arts, dancing, cooking, eating, hanging out with my friends, meeting new people, and soaking up the sun.
I view Couchsurfing as more than just a place to stay - a cultural exchange where I'm lucky enough to get a local's insight into the place I'm visiting. I'd love to share our experiences and exchange stories/recommendations/trips/ideas.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In 2012, I had my first Couchsurfing experience during a 6 and a half week trip across USA with a close friend. It was the best experience I have had in my life so far! Covering 20 states in 6 and a half weeks has showed me just how much you can do in a short amount of time on a pretty tight budget. The trip also taught me to never judge a book by its cover and say yes to things more than you would say no. We met so many incredible people from all walks of life and had so many new and fun experiences - from swing dancing to poetry slams, snooker halls and live metal bands, riding in the back of pick up trucks and dirt bikes, walking an average of 15 miles a day - we really threw ourselves into what America has to offer!
Interests
Most of my free time is spent with friends and family. Whether that be eating out in a restaurant or cooking at home, food is a huge part of my life. I love cooking and trying different cuisines. I love cooking for other people and could think of nothing more rewarding than throwing a dinner party and people enjoying your food.
I'm a keen hiker; I love exploring new trails and am particularly fond of a coastal path.
