About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Relax a little. Learn to live more and work less. Try not to die in a painful manner.
ABOUT ME
I am self employed and own a company called Southern Cinema that designs and creates home theater rooms and advanced home automation systems. Due to my profession, I love music and movies, live concerts and gadgets. I like the water and boating, riding my bike and in winter try to do at least one good snow board trip somewhere. Being self employed either affords me the freedom to travel maybe a little more than most folks, OR completely robs me of all traveling aspirations depending on how the stupid economy and thusly how my business are doing. So far I like Couchsurfing a lot and think this project is a great social experiment... but of course so was communism.
PHILOSOPHY
Avoid shaving, shoes, haircuts "tea partiers" and of course zombies, at all costs...oh wait the last two are the same thing. Try to have some fun man, you're getting old.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Badly! Especially lately as you can see from my subpar reply percentage. I have been extremely busy with work, and am traveling out of state a lot for my job, and have not been responding to requests like a good host should. I am turning over a new leaf. As of now, Nov 21st 2012, I aspire to respond to your request in a timely fashion, the response might be Maybe or No, but I will try to respond within 24 hours.
Since joining in 2009 I have met some really cool new people, enjoyed their unique travel experiences, and shared what little I have to offer on this huge planet with other like minded traveling folks. I have yet to surf myself, but I am certainly collecting a good list of great people who hopefully will have some comfy "couches" for me when I plan my round the world trip.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have hosted now for a little over a year, almost all of my CS experiences to date have been great, even the folks that brought their pet Alpaca, he saved me from mowing the lawn for at least a week! I have yet to stay with anyone else however, hopefully that will change soon.

Music, Movies, and Books
I read of lot of crappy books like Steven King, I have very broad music tastes, I like dark comedies, satire and foreign films.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I wish I could say I helped birth a baby in the back of a taxi, or something like that... But this is what I got: for a year between 2005 and 2006, I traveled around the entire US (about 25-30 states) lecturing and training 30-60 people at a time in each city. For me this is amazing, as I was always afraid of public speaking. I perfected my lecture and training and was subsequently filmed at a studio in NYC for a DVD and web version of the training. This Gig allowed me for the first time to travel heavily in my own country. I need to do something truly unique. Anyone up for Kilimanjaro?
Teach, Learn, Share
I am an electronic genius! I'm also very modest. I also know how a great deal about construction, US electrical code and building methods. I would love to teach others about some practical skills I've gleaned from my life experience.
