ABOUT ME

Hey, I'm Daniel! I'm a passionate cineaste, home-cook, daddy and web engineer. Not a typical combination but its a nice alternation between each passion.

Before nearly two years I graduated in Multimedia Engineering and started working as a web developer in Dresden. By the way I needed some timeout from the world of pixels and numbers. So I tried many different kinds how to "make" and to store food. I made cakes, syrup, jam, antipasti and - of course - real German Sauerkraut ;) When I find new interesting recipes, especially from different countries, I have to tried them on my own. For me the word "slow food" isn't just a phrase..

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first CS experiences I made during a cycle tour with my girlfriend. In three weeks we explored the German North Sea coast and got to know a lot of nice and kindly couchsurfers. Whether they lived in a city or a small village - everybody could give us super hints and information about the landscape and the region around us. On the other hand it was fascinating for me, getting to know all these people, their own life story and their kind of living.
Without CS this tour wouldn't have been so amazing and marvelous. I got a lot of information and impressions of people living in the northern part of Germany for what I want to thank you!

Interesses

I'm keen on cooking, gardening, preservating fruits and vegetables - and of course - eating! I also love to hang around with my son and my wife and explore the huge "neighbourhood" of Europa and above.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

Movies: I have a weakness for independent productions like "Garden State", "Little Miss Sunshine", "Waltz With Bashir", "Cashback" - but of course I'm also fascinated from more famous movies like "Reservoir Dogs", "A Clockwork Orange" or "Being John Malkovich".

Music: there is no special genre I prefer, just bands like Franz Ferdinand, Raconteurs, The Subways, Gogol Bordello and many old stuff like The Who, Led Zeppelin, The Doors and The Kinks.
