About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travelling the world, making art, meeting people

ABOUT ME

I've grown up in Auckland, New Zealand with my twin brother and parents. Its a large city with lots of really nice, tight-nit communities. I come from one that lives in the center of the City, on the edge of the harbor; the perfect place to hang out, go on adventures - whether it be two minutes down the road or four hours north/south (four hours is a long way in New Zealand!). Throughout the year (March - November) I'm studying; making art, researching - basically trying to reveal 'mystic truths!' Uni life is good, it means there is also a lot of time to hang out with friends and flatmates; flatting leads to a kind of nomad lifestyle I guess! (it always means there are people crashing on the couch whether it be friends stranded in paradise or the French guy at the moment). During summer holidays (Nov - Aprl), New Zealand and I are in our prime - beaches bush and city, maybe a bit of work to pay rent. Any way I'm always keen to share all of this with anyone and hopefully you are to!

PHILOSOPHY

Couchsurfing asks: 'Why do you live your life?'
I ask: 'Why not?'

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't used this site for personal use yet but my first experience was on my first big trip (Oct 2007 - Jan 2008, London, Paris, NY); my brother and I had no plans for accommodation until about a week before when a fiend of a friend let us crash with him in London for a few weeks. We became great friends and still keep in contact. This kind of set the stage for the rest of trip, everyone was so good to us... I could want nothing more than to continue this great generosity here in New Zealand and with new comrades overseas!
