ABOUT ME

Morven is about an 8hour drive from Brisbane in outback Queensland It's great as there is a footpath into the shops which is important for me as I had a foot operation(to straighten my foot). I have already listed what occupies my time in that section. Other projects I need to work on include getting to the stage of self publishing the children's stories I have written and putting the songs I have written to music. I want to help people self-publish their book.

PHILOSOPHY

To listen more to why people are saying what they are saying which gives more understanding and patience towards others. Encouraging others not only in my walking well again, but to be understanding of their needs. Learning to receive blessings from others as well as blessing others. Robert is a believer who tries to live body mind and soul. We attend a church fellowship when we can and at other times have the service over the telephone. Hoping to meet the other's (some further away) that listen in on the telephone. It's great that everyone can share their life experiences with Couchsurfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Since joining Robert and I have couchsurfed in Toowoomba with Candice and Dan, candle party and movies which went well as our first Couchsurf experience, also spent time with Gaia at Miles watching comedy. Madonna has had great Couchsurfing while in Brisbane with Jane and looking at Japanese photos and Danielle, sister and housemate, the chilli con carne was great and Audrey is very friendly. 2010 we had many positive experiences couchsurfing in New Zealand.

Interests

Travelling, meeting people, watching some movies, having a hot drink and raisin toast up the street and cafe's when in Charleville & Augathella (1hr away) and elsewhere. At time experimenting with new recipes,singing, sorting out where things go in the house, sitting on the steps later in the afternoon as the scenery is great, and showing people around where where live and surrounds. Robert's interests include Life Coaching - sports, gardening, travelling and meeting new people. I guess we are witty, with sense of humour.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like old time movies, some comedy, romantic movies (e.g.Runnaway bride), only some science fiction, documentaries especially travel. Robert likes the movie Stargate and Science fiction, most movies except horror and only thriller during day, most music except heavy metal and likes some teckno.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelled overseas by myself to Denmark, Iceland and Singapore. Had people meeting me at airports and stayed with penfriend and partner. I recommend people to travel and get to know new cultures and form friendships. Robert sees the benefits of changing himself to try new things. Robert travelled to Canada. We have also travelled to New Zealand, taught English in Japan.
This year 2012 we travelled and stayed in Amsterdam, Ukraine and Japan. It was wonderful meeting our couchsurfing friend while in Amsterdam.

Teach, Learn, Share

I guess having to learn patience and not being so frustrated in not doing everything at once. Robert tries to help with wisdom, learn patience and shares what he can. Is there anyone else having to learn patience at the moment or a challenge as it would be great to hear about it.
