About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to find my mission...

ABOUT ME

Since 2007 I study political sciences, history of Spain and Latinamerica and hispanic filology at the University of Cologne...No, I´m not a nerd!
Before I worked 3 years as an assistant in a publishing house called Gruner+Jahr in Hamburg...thank God,I left these yuppies!
As a kid, my family used to move a lot (6 times!)...so I´m used to pack my things quickly and to live out of the box.
My father has been married three times, so I ended up having 5 sisters...Let me tell you one thing:Patchwork is a lot more exciting than any family out of the picture book!

PHILOSOPHY

Treat others like YOU want to be treated.
Give more than you take.
We all should hug each other more often.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Until now I never had the chance to offer my couch in Cologne, because my home mate is a bit afraid to let total strangers in. So I can only offer to meet people for a coffee, to spent time with them and to show the town of Cologne. I´d be very happy to meet people from all over the world and to give them a positive impression of their time in Germany.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Until now, I´ve never stayed on other´s couch. But I want to start now and I hope people will give me a chance even though I can´t offer many references yet! Everybody has to start somehow.

Interests

I am interested in political and historical topics...but at the same time, I love reading yellow press and fashion magazines.
I really like to exercise Pilates...but not too much...just have a look at Madonna´s arms and you understand why.
I loooove to cook...and I looooooooooooooooove to eat.

Music, Movies, and Books

I know they are literal rubbish, but I read all 4 books of Stephanie Meyer´s in a week...hey, I just wanted to know, how the whole story ends...because the end is totally UNpredictable;)
I´m a big fan of Isabel Allende. I could always read "La casa de los espíritus" all over again.
My favourite movie is "Crouching Tiger - Hidden Dragon". I love the "silence" of this movie.
The music of "Maximo Park" ans "Air" opened a whole new world for me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveling with a Volkswagen Bus through the andalusian mountains of Alpujarra and to sleep outdoors and watch the stars shining.
Watching pilgrims arrive, sing, dance and cry out of relieve at the Plaza Obradoiro in Santiago de Compostela after weeks of suffering and wandering the Camino de Santiago.
Snorkeling in the Philippines and see starfishes of a colour blue, even more blue than the sky.

Teach, Learn, Share

When you suffered a really bad break-up or any other pain, people use to tell you that "Time heals all wounds". But it´s not the time that heals your wounds, it´s what you MAKE with the time. It´s more than okay, to take yout own time to be sad, to cry, to be in grieve and to wish you never had suffered this pain. But don´t sit around and wait for the pain to end. Instead, rather ask yourself, what you can learn from this hard time you got. Because all things make sense. And instead of wishing that certain persons had never left you, think more of the good times you have spent together. Separations of persons, always go along with new meetings.
