Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just got back from spending most of the previous year in Italy - first in Rome and then in Venice. Currently I'm just looking to meet people in my hometown of Washington D.C. - travelers and locals. I can't offer a couch at the moment but may be able to beginning in the fall. However I'm interested in meeting people of all nationalities! I enjoy hearing people's stories and could potentially be a guide as well.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Lots of couchsurfing experiences in Rome, when I was living there and working as an au pair. The first family I was with kicked me out after a week and the wonderful people of Rome couchsurfing came to my rescue! I want to give back to this incredible community.
Interests
I enjoy reading and writing prose. I'm a runner and I'm training for the Nike Women's marathon in October - running is a great way to meet people and explore new places. Like cooking, eating, drinking, talking, shopping, etc. Basically living.

all genres of literature, but in particular modern writers - some of my favorites: Orhan Pamuk, Sandor Marai, Ian McEwan, Haruki Murakami. Poetry, particularly Emily Dickinson, Edna St. Vincent Millay, Auden. All music - from opera/ballet/classical to jazz to trip-hop.
