ABOUT US
Family of three, Andrew, Meg and H.

Andrew: I enjoy the spontaneity of travel. I’ve been a sailor professionally and for fun, but mostly landlocked the past couple of years. With that and moving out of the pandemic, I'm excited to make it a point to actively seek adventures again. both globetrotting ones and microadventures.

Meg: I love exploring new places, especially by bike. I work as an energy efficiency engineer and love being outside (backpacking, bikepacking, running). I’m excited to be embarking on the next stage of life’s adventures with our 2 year old.

H- almost 2, loves birds(but not woodpeckers) splashing in water, waving to anyone, most animals, dancing, running and jumping!

PHILOSOPHY

Always go to Madagascar. (Never turn down an adventure)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We’re excited to have a couch to offer after staying on many others over the years! We’ve truly relished the opportunity to meet amazing and inspiring people who have hosted us or guided us in my travels.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Andrew was first exposed to the idea through informal couchsurfing in the form of trail angels while he was hiking the Appalachian Trail, and found couchsurfing.org soon after. Many of his favorite travel memories are interacting with couch surfers and their friends- truly a way to get to the heart of a community - how else are you going to meet a Cirque du Soleil group in Ecuador to go hiking with?

Meg first couch surfed with a friend in India and loved being able to meet and connect with people.

Interests

I love being outside in almost any capacity - I love getting to places under my own power that there's no other way to get there - the top of a cliff or mountain, a remote river or waterfall - Anything!
