ABOUT ME

I love Yoga and Running and try to discover the world step by step through traveling. I`m a collector of fairy tale books from all around the world and love visiting art exhibitions especially of contemporary art. I almost worship cooking sessions with friends and home cooking.

PHILOSOPHY

When I started practicing yoga in New York, the teacher would always read a quote at the end of the class. This quote has become essential to me and to my life, because I believe we all can make a difference from inside ourselves:

When I was a young man, I wanted to change the world.
I found it was difficult to change the world, so I tried to change my nation.
When I found I couldn't change the nation, I began to focus on my town.
I couldn't change the town and as an older man, I tried to change my family.

Now, as an old man, I realize the only thing I can change is myself, and suddenly I realize that if long ago I had changed myself, I could have made an impact on my family. My family and I could have made an impact on our town. Their impact could have changed the nation and I could indeed have changed the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I was in Canada, I didn`t get a place to sleep in a hostel anymore one night. A friend told me about couchsurfing, so I created this account. Just as life happens sometimes, that evening I met a woman who just like that offered me to crush on her couch for the night. So far I don`t have that much experience with couchsurfing, but I am planing to change that.
I got lucky a lot of times in life, when I really needed help and I`d love giving back and share that good experiences with people, whether through a couch to crush on, or a helpful and inspiring talk.

兴趣

I`m always curious about things I haven`t done before, so learning is my biggest interest in life. Besides that I love watching Tatort with my roomies on Sundays (Tatort is a crime tv-show playing in different cities all around Germany that switch every sunday. It is quite famous and is even displayed at public viewings in bars which makes it a nice community event).

teach: a little yoga, everything around fashion design (sewing, drawing, creating concepts and moods...), explaining the way fashion works to everyone who is interested, help learning german, english or a little spanish

learn: how to speak new languages, a different way to see the world, to know and cook dishes from all over the planet

share: books after reading, good advice to friends who need some, and always an open ear and heart
