CURRENT MISSION
Journeying peacefully between continents and arts
ABOUT ME
I have been traveling for the last 2 years while practicing my art as a
fine art photographer, and working as a web-based freelance writer and translator.
My works can be seen here: www.christine-muraton.squarespace.com
and here: https://www.facebook.com/ChristineMuratonPhotography
I'm laid-back, love some good risks once in a while and improbable situation, but also a casual conversation around a cup of tea about politics, arts, philosophy etc.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Just to let you know, my shameful 0% response rate was caused by my change of email adress : I was simply not aware that I was receiving requests ! ;)
I'm not living anywhere in particular these days, but I always meeting people around the world
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Until now I mostly hosted or have been hosted without Couchsurfing as an intermediary. In those cases I simply asked people met on the road, or accepted the offers of those refusing to let me sleep outside with my tent or hammock. My three favorite ones:
- sheltered by a shepherd on the top of some french mountain after he almost stoned me thinking, in the dark, that I was some intruder waiting for him. Ended up tasting his home made 'Chartreuse', for those who know this delicious beverage that usualy only monks prepare.
- Been offered a sofa by a Swedish guy I met in a desolated train station in the middle of Norway. He was just coming back from a six month trip in Asia and told me the tale of his adventures.
- Every hostels being fully booked in London, I just started to ask random people in the streats to host me, until I met a group of German, and Polish guys and girls that let me sleep in their hostel bedroom without the staff noticing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think it all depends on one's perception but,
Managed to get a friend suffering from vertigo to clim with me on the roofs of Paris and enjoy the fantastic view.
Hitchhiked accross Norway and survived a night in the snow.
Saw the sun rising, accompagned by the song of thousands of awakening birds in Tahiti's mountains.
Discovered meditation
