ABOUT ME

I'm a simple creature. I get nervous sometimes. I can be a generous person. I can touch my nose with my tongue. Sometimes I feel stupid, even though i'm not. And i'm not a jerk.

PHILOSOPHY

I think that the small roles we all play eventually snowball into avalanches. By meeting more of our planets diverce inhabitants, we build our own lives, and somehow, though our goals vary widely, come to a common place of ... just functioning together, better than we are now. There will always be room for improvement and that is a beautiful thing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Never hosted any myself, but met tons of surfers via friends. And i have continued many of those friendships. Hopefully one day when i'm pretending to be all grown up, i'll have a couch to offer.

Interests

relaxing. sunshine. sunshine. beautiful sunshine. using the word beautiful too much. frisbee. cycling (light cycling ;)). camping. light hiking. attempting to rock climb. bbq. wearing sandles. road trips. festivals. cheeseburgers. friends. guitars. friends with guitars.
learning to snowboard (by force, but it's still fun. though my knees and ass disagree.) hot wine. films. books. writing. sudoku. staying as warm as possible. cooking (learning to cook). giant warm blankets that seem endless. beer and wine. people watching. keeping to myself until genuinely interested in what you're saying. pizza. pasta. did i already say cheeseburgers? all different types of food. (it is difficult to offend my pallet.) wordplay. puns. really dumb jokes.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like film. Not formally, or from an intellectual standpoint. I just like film.
I like Glen Hansard, Against Me, the Rolling Stones, and guitar music. Any guitar will do.
I generally am reading three or four books at once. (keeps things interesting and gives me weird dreams where the plots all weave together) Currently reading NO ONE HERE GETS OUT ALIVE.(danny sugarman) AMERICAN GODS. (neil gaiman) and AMERICA. (franz kafka)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taught English in Thailand after graduating high school. Pretty excellent.

Went skydiving just before graduating high school. Also quite excellent.

Teach, Learn, Share

Nothing i can think of, but i know i don't know alot of junk so please, teach away kids, i'm all eyes and ears and ears and eyes.

If you can successfully teach me to do a cartwheel, we shall be friends for life.
