ABOUT ME

Best way to find out, get to know me and get your own picture of me... mine might be biased

I love to travel, see new things, explore. I love sports, couldnt live without. Nature is to me the greatest (or only!) place to be - and to preserve, though I am not (yet) a fanatic --- I am convinced that there are many things to learn from other people, and I try to let them know --- I am addicted to sunny days --- I walk with maps but I run without maps --- I am from Zurich but I have stopped living in too big cities some time ago (and I am aware that this statement makes you laugh hard if you are from a bigger city than Zurich) --- I work as a natural hazard engineer

PHILOSOPHY

here just one saying that, amongst others, has always inspired me:
"La furtüna sto per via, chi la piglia e chi passa speravia" (rumantsch puter) - in english, approximately: "Luck is standing along the way, some take it, and some rush past"

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I enjoy meeting locals when I travel. I think this is the best way to travel and experience. And so, of course I understand also others will want to experience the same when travelling to my country and I like those people ;) And I enjoy meeting new, great people, whereever in the world!

I like different music styles, but especially old-school rock (The Doors, Beatles, Queen, etc., also Bram Tchaikowsky, and many others). I also like to listen to songs from different countries in different languages, especially from the Latin world. I enjoy Jazz, Reggae, and sometimes Classic music. Open for new stuff at any time!

Can you teach me cooking your country's recepies? Or your culture's most beautiful proverbs? Or maybe some sports? Or a language? I am interested in many...

I might (or might not) be able to teach you: German / Swiss German, French for beginners, Swiss culture (how to handle a Raclette cheese, maybe!), Mountaineering skills...
