I've just finished a 25,000km solo bicycle expedition - now I'm writing a book about it

ABOUT ME

I am relaxed and easy-going - ambitious and driven though. In October 2009 I set off to cycle from London to Brisbane. For any cricket fans out there, I am cycling to The Ashes, which starts in November 2010. During my journey I'll play, promote or teach cricket in every country I cycle through, and raise $200,000 for two UK based charities close to my heart.

For the last 5 years I've been working in London, and before that I studied French and Spanish at uni in Durham, UK.

PHILOSOPHY

I like this quite and try to live life by it: "Don't follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail."

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am seeking sofas to surf all through Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia. Upon my return, it would be cool to return the favour.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've slept on lots of floors and sofas in recent years, from India to Australia, from Morocco to Hungary. Since leaving London on my bike I've slept in ditches, on beaches, in mosques, churches, police stations and at army checkpoints. Your floor will be a luxury! Meeting new people when travelling is one of the greatest pleasures....
