One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most amazing things that I’ve ever done, would be trekking Colca Canyon. The mountains looked like something out of lord of the rings, majestic’s pointed statues reminding me of just how small man is in comparison to nature, something easily forgotten! But yes we stopped off this little oasis to swim and eat, I remember eating three plates of spaghetti in the space of 5 minutes, not good, then setting off during peak sun to climb a near vertical mountain. Two American girls that were also in our group insisted on getting mules instead of walking, me being me of course I had to start taking the piss saying that they were being wimps, and you don't come to one of the biggest canyon in the world to get a mule up, little did I know. I've never been in so much pain in my life, it hurt to breathe I couldn’t even drink water, air was so precious to me at that moment lol But I soldiered through and remember walking exhausted completely by myself, having run out of water and just looking up as the sun was setting behind a rock, and feeling so small and humble. Once I got to the top the adrenalin and ecstasy at having done, made me want to do it all over again.
