About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to plan the plan of attack. This could take a bit of time.

ABOUT ME

Sam's currently trying to think up a witty thing to put here. Unfortunately his wit has never been sharp. So its going to stay this way for a while. However, he has taken a recent liking to talking about himself in 3rd person, as it means he can be completely arrogant and self inflating, and no one realises.

Now that he's relocated to Singapore, he no longer dresses up in green and does army stuff. Instead he spends his days at a cool design agency where he's one of the cool illustrators.

He still loves to get out and about and do stuff: hiking, biking, driving, in fact when a verb sums up his status, he's generally happy.

PHILOSOPHY

Not to arrive at the grave safely. More kind of sliding sideways at 120km/h while screaming 'Oh crap, oh crap, oh crap.'

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently have a spare guest bedroom, complete with wardrobe space. Door is always open, except when I'm not here. And even then, I'm a forgetful person, so your chances are good that I've left it open.

Interests

Very keen on tramping (hiking), music, languages, art, and photography. Have also recently re-immersed myself back into the world of martial arts, studying Kukjae Hapkido last year, and trying my hand at Muai Thai and MMA while I'm in Singapore.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Easy. Biking the Milford Sounds Road at sunset. Undeniably the best thing anyone can ever do.

Teach, Learn, Share

I was previously a photographer and retoucher, if that helps? I've also travelled New Zealand rather extensively, so can give you some pointers as to where to go if you need it!

Really keen to learn about global travel, tips and tricks for new players - I've been born and raised in sweet little New Zealand and consequently have a very naive view on the world.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, China, France, Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, Netherlands, Thailand, United Kingdom, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

New Zealand, Singapore
