ABOUT ME

I am a friendly person and I am interested in meeting new, exciting people. After spending most of last year living in Spain I have recently moved to Glasgow with the Goal of getting my life together and having some new adventures.
I have recently begun to make art again after a long break since finishing art school, but I still don't really know what I am doing with my life. My mission for the year is to try to find this out, or at least to get a good idea.
If that fails I would like to have some amazing adventures, meet some fantastic people, and have a lot of fun.

PHILOSOPHY

My new philosophy is to jump straight into the crazy river that we call life. Even when this is terrifying and unknown.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have met many couchsurfers when I lived in Edinburgh and also around the world on my travels. Sadly I cant offer my couch at the moment because I don't have any spare space.
I love meeting other couch surfers wherever I go. it makes travelling very interesting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met lots of couchsurfers in Edinburgh hosted a few as well. I have also attended parties etc in different places I have traveled to. It is a great way to meet other travelers when you are on your own.

Interests

Gardening, Spending time in nature, meeting new people, music, dancing under the stars, politics, films, singing, art, swimming in the sea, bonfires, festivals, making friends, learning new things, playing guitar, drawing, comics, Adventures, perfect afternoon, Tea and scones, original ideas, the sound of rain, glitter, folky music, camping, design, d.i.y culture.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love music - especially going to see gigs and other acts play. I don't really have a style that I would say I am really into, I just like to see what is out there. So Pixies, Bjork, Clash, Joni Mitchell, Django Django, Lou Reed, Tom Waits, Sonic Youth, Melanie, Billie Holiday, Leonard Cohen, Cat Power, John Martyn, Ani Difranco, Moldy Peaches, The Doors, Beck, Bert Jansch.
A big massive mix, probably more on the folky side. I am always open to new stuff though.

Reading wise. Hunter s Thompson, Margaret Atwood, Charles Bukowski, Hemmingway, F Scott Fitzgerald, Tove Jansson,Slyvia Plath and lots of other stuff I cant think of now, non fiction and poetry. I am a very distracted reader. I definitely should read more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So many amazing camping trips with good friends.
Amazing and strange weather events, such as rainbow filled clouds.
Meeting Amma and receiving darshan.
Totally awe inspired by the beauty of the Scottish hebrides. Utterly wild and remote and romantic.

Teach, Learn, Share

Drawing, folk songs, basic guitar, singing, english

I really want to learn spanish as I am going to spend my summer in Asturias. I you can teach me some words or help me practice that would be amazing.
