I live in Melbourne, Australia at the moment and work in a photo editing studio.

ABOUT ME

I am a kiwi, New Zealander, we are naturally very easy going. I spent the last 5 years living in Mexico City working as a freelance photographer. I came back to NZ for a year to spend time with my family and now I am adventuring to North Africa and the maghreb. I love to explore sub-cultures in my photography, and I like to stay in each country as long as I can to really get to know the people and culture.
I love meeting new people, I am very open minded, friendly. I am easy going, try to help others out where I can, I'm creative and I believe if you want an exciting life you have to make it yourself!!!

PHILOSOPHY

I strongly believe in karma and treating others with respect. If someone does you wrong try to not worry, what goes around always comes around and I do not worry myself with these things. I am not religious but I believe in living a good life to the fullest and try to make yourself and others happy, offer your love and see it return¡

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I am travelling so unfortunately I don't have a couch I can offer, but I have hosted couchsurfers in the past. If I stay with someone then I am happy to cook meals, and or offer food in return. I would love to spend time with my hosts if they want to, have a coffee, see something cool in their hometown or city. Take some pictures!

Interests

Photography is my main passion in life, I have a background in studio photography but now work in editorial and documentary photography. I like to create collaborative projects with my subjects, have exhibitions or print books - make something tangible art! I am also a huge music fan and like a very wide variety of music, I love to go see live music. I am also learning to shoot and edit video so I can make documentary films. I am currently learning French.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Survived 5 years in Mexico City - home to 22 million people! Learnt to speak Spanish just like a local Mexicana.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to use photography as a tool to engage with people I meet, when I travel to new places I often embark on collaborative projects, so I can share that experience with people I meet if they are willing to participate.
I can teach you some Spanish - especially Mexican slang! Or help with English. I have experience teaching language and photography classes. I am also a pretty good cook! Also, love to share and swap music.
