About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Love life and learn!

PHILOSOPHY

I am an experience seeker, I like to search for new things to do. I am fairly open and go with the flow. I enjoy learning what others have to teach.

My generally philosophy is to learn from others and have as much fun as possible!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Looking to host and surf!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Though I've been a member of the CS community for a long time, I'm new to surfing! I'd describe myself as a friendly, go with the flow host and traveler.

Interests

Planning adventures, spontaneous dance parties and taking photos. Also sarcasm; that tends to happen.

Anything that takes me outdoors: hiking, biking, swimming, etc.

Cooking and EATING--I am very adventurous when it comes to food, and will try most anything. Sometimes drinking. I brew my own beer (though I'm a novice).

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite book of all time is A Tree Grows In Brooklyn. Recent reads include Swamplandia! by Karen Russel, and Pastoralia by George Saunders.

For movies, I love most things by Wes Anderson, Coen Brothers, and pretty much anything made before 1965 (I have seen a LOT of old movies).

Music is hard, but probably mostly indie stuff. And I'm always looking for recommendations. I go to a fair amount of shows. The most recent show I went to go see was Built to Spill.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

20,000 paper lanterns lighting up the shores of Acapulco on New Years eve. Joshua trees. Black Canyon of the Gunnison. A rainbow over the Grand Canyon. Canyon Beach. Blyde River Canyon. Khecheopalri lake, in foothills of the Himalayas. Bodhi Tree. Worship of the goddess Kali in Kolkata. The Ganges. The ruins of Teotihuacan and Monte Alban.
