Hi! We are Tim and Patty and we are a Dutch couple who decided to quit our jobs in the Netherlands and terminate the tenancy of our house in Amsterdam to see the world. We have travelled all the way from the Netherlands to Vladivostok via Spain by taking the bus and mostly the train. As for now, we don’t really have a plan apart from seeing where the tide will take us. Currently we are in Japan and we hope to meet new people from all over the world while traveling and exploring to what to us is the ‘Far East’. We love to go hiking and trekking as we enjoy to be in nature, especially in the mountains. We are also very interested in exploring cities and local food. As far as the planning goes we are planning to visit Vietnam and learning to surf.

Hopefully we can meet some likeminded people through couchsurfing and maybe share a beer or two if you like!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The best way to emerge oneself in an country and stay out of the guidebook. We are also very keen on meeting new (local) people from all over the world and couchsurfing is one of the best ways to do so!
