ABOUT ME

I am a person who is intrigued by other people. I tend to find the good in everyone and I get on with everyone unless they really give me a reason not to. Like everyone I have my faults but I consider myself to be a good, kind person. I'm very open minded in all aspects of life and I have very eclectic tastes. As my user name would suggest, I am a creature of the night. Always been nocturnal (didn't help when I was at school!) I can be up during the day, but I always find my routine swinging back into the darker hours.
I don't smoke. I eat meat but if I was staying with a house full of vegetarians I wouldn't bring home a burger! And I love animals.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm not currently in a position to offer a couch. I'm sure if I was in such a position in the future I'd love to offer my couch. Of course I'd have to buy a couch! :)
I'm up for hanging out and showing people around when I'm not working (which is not often) but even then, with my line of work you're more than welcome to come along!
NB. I'll be traveling around the US and Canada for a year starting April 19 so I won't be in Sydney to show anyone around during that time.

Interests

I've wanted to travel the world for years but something always seems to hold me back, probably myself. Now it's finally becoming a reality! I'm mostly interested in music and movies. I've never been able to decide which direction I'd rather pursue. I love to sing, used to be in a band, now I just host karaoke. There's a few instruments on my "to learn" list. I did start doing film and television at college but a new relationship distracted me from it and I never got around to getting back into it. I love to go out and party all night, especially if there's live music! Or karaoke :) I'm not a big drinker, but I'll have a few if I'm out and not driving. I love going to the movies. You might think I'm odd but I absolutely LOVE the smell of popcorn, but I don't like to eat it. Also very interested in photography, I tried to start my own photography business once but I prefer it as a hobby.

Music, Movies, and Books

As far as movies and music go, I love them all. I like anything from The Matrix to Love Actually to A Knights Tale to The Sixth Sense and so much more. I'm ecclectic in music too, for example, I recently went to see Marilyn Manson and Britney Spears in the same month! I love U2, Jeff Buckley, Guns N' Roses, Robbie Williams, Disturbed, Alanis Morissette, Black Eyed Peas, Michael Jackson, I could go on and on. Not so much into country music, but if it's good, I'll listen to it! Now books are another story, I'm not a big reader, I've read all the Harry Potter books like most people on Earth and I know there are millions of good books out there, I just never seem overly enthused to read them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 15 my parents took me around the world. Well, some of it. We visited 16 cities in 3 continents in 5 weeks! It was my first real taste of traveling and I've wanted to do more ever since!

I don't know specifically what I have to offer but I'm always up for a good conversation and to share my opinions and views on any topic I've got an outside clue about. I have picked up a few tid-bits of useless information during my time as a trivia host ;)
