ABOUT ME

I like travel (who doesn't on CS?), I'm generally very low maintenance, not a fan of people with radical beliefs who are unwilling to hear the other side of the story... I am a bit of a science nerd. I love learning about the world, and right now, more about myself. I think if I learned anything in school it was how little I really do know, and how much more there is to explore especially outside of school.

I'm not sarcastic, I'm usually only funny by accident (though I can be very silly). I'm pretty usual from the outside, but definitely a bit quirky once you get to know me. I have this romantic notion of helping to make the world a better place.

P.S. I'm a nonsmoker and not allergic to anything (lucky me!).

I'm lucky to be in control of what I do and where I go. I believe that everyone should have this chance.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to allow people to REALLY travel - get out there and meet new people, have a chance to truly understand where you are, and better understand who you are. I also love traveling in this manner - I don't aim to be a tourist in a new place, but rather to understand the lifestyle and people there. (Checking off places to see is not my top priority.)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have had about 10 surfing experiences at this point and each time has been different and fabulous in its own way!

Music, Movies, and Books

Virtually every kind of music is something I like. Favorites: Chopin and Debussy, classic rock, and the indie-rock scene. Jazz, bluegrass style...Anything with horns, violin and/or ukulele. Some of my favorite groups lately: Beirut, Arcade Fire, Radiohead, Fleet Foxes. I love going to music festivals especially if they're outside and you can chill in the grass....

Favorite musical is Les Misérables.... though I enjoy almost every theater production I see!

I'm so ready to learn. I'm all for sharing stories and ideologies. I can relate some fun medical fun facts and try to get you excited about human rights. And I'll introduce you to TedTalks if you don't already know about them.
