About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be happy which I am! I love travelling so think that this is a great idea.

ABOUT ME

I love travelling, listening to music, flowers and plants. I would love a greenhouse! I have travelled a good bit and have made great friends on many the journeys. I love Ireland and don't take for granted what an amazing place I live in (especially when the sun is shining).

PHILOSOPHY

Laughter is my favourite sound in the world! I was at a Leonard Cohen concert a few years ago where I heard and saw a couple laughing so much that they just could not stop. It was beautiful.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have only couch surfed in San Francisco. We have had people stay from Australia, France and Germany. I was living in Dublin for a year and a half recently and did not participate there however the door is open again to have couchsurfers stay.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All good experiences to date. :-)

Interests

Cooking, going out, staying in, chilling out, travelling, music, walking, reading, I love the countryside. I grew up there and this is where I am most happy.

Music, Movies, and Books

I think my favourite film is Annie Hall and my favourite book is To Kill A Mockingbird.
I have seen Leonard Cohen twice and will be seeing him again in September. I love going to concerts; couldn't name them all however the ones that spring to mind just now are Bruce Springsteen, Chemical Brothers, Chic, No Crows (Steve Wickham is awesome), Prince and Bob Dylan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am very lucky to have had so many positive travels in my life to date. I lived in Brussels for one year while I studied (at one time there were 18 people living in our house!). I lived in London for nearly three years again which was part of college. I met some amazing people through my studies. I then came back to Ireland where I was in Dublin for a year and then backpacked around every state in Australia except the Northern Territory (that is for next time), Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. I have also visited NY, Boston, Chicago,San Francisco, Amsterdam, Belgium, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal and Turkey. I have three brothers and one sister. The youngest brother is 11 and I will never forget the day he was born-it was very special. :-)
