About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

Love seeing what's coming around the next corner. Just returned from a great trip to Baja. I fuse glass as a hobby. Bellingham has many great day trips within reach-Vancouver, Seattle, the San Juan Islands and Mt Baker to name a few. I have lived here for 30 years and love sharing why I am still in love with the area. I'm still discovering new places. I have camped, hiked, sailed and photographed much of this beautiful corner of the country.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm left leaning, agnostic, a pacifist. Like Ghandi I believe "You must become the change you want to see in the world." I have spent most of my life working with homelessness, domestic violence, and teaching preschoolers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to this but excited. I live 15 miles outside of town. My home is small but has a great view of Hale's Passage and Lummi Island. I have a fold out couch-queen size or a spare bedroom with a single bed. You are more than welcome to use the kitchen as long as you provide the food and clean up after yourself. There is no smoking inside

The Hours, Little Miss Sunshine. Love all types of music-folk, blues, rock. Three Cups of Tea, Giving, Reading Lolita in Tehran, anything by Barbara Kingsolver.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My grown sons totally amaze me. The second would be the Blue whale in Baja that slid under my boat without displacing any water.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to hear from older single women, tips for traveling cheaply in Europe-is it possible? Also any safety tips for solo car camping in the US.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Norway, Spain, United Kingdom
