ABOUT ME

We're both very easy going people and can happily survive on cereal, coffee and good conversation :)

Thea is working as a telescope operator at SALT (Southern African Large Telescope). Every second week she does night shift at the observatory so she's in Sutherland then (she stays up at the observatory site), but off weeks she's relaxing after 7 nights of sunset to sunrise work hours visiting David in Cape Town.

David works in Cape Town as a software engineer for Amazon EC2. At night he works from home on his electronics and programming business doing altimeters for model rocketry and other freelance projects.

We'll see how long it takes before one of us caves in and moves provinces!

Our space in CT is super tiny, so unfortunately we can't host there, but we can try and meet up for coffee if you're in the mother city.

兴趣

Thea - I'm a bit of geek. In a new city I love going to museums and wandering about looking at all the buildings and people, getting a feel for the place. At heart I'm a country girl, and am happiest out in nature. I like playing board games, going for a stroll, swimming, playing chess, reading...

David - I love electronics, programming and physics! I really like history and culture. I also love talking to people and finding out more about them.

Thea - tons of stuff. I feel guilty trying to pick one because I don't want to neglect anything!
