One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once in Alaska I met a Japanese guy who said he liked walking. It was on christmas eve and i figured he probably stayed in a hostel in town and hiked up some small mountains. It turned out that he had been walking by himself for six years, from southern Argentina to Alaska, and he expected to walk for at least another year to reach Alaska's northern tip! Not to prove anything, not to get famous, he simply liked walking!

The most amazing thing I've done is probably mushing a 440 mile sleddog race between eskimo villages in Alaska. A lot of fun, but a piece of cake compared to what this Japanese guy has been through!
