About Me

I'm a young at heart Cali-girl. I'm a full time, remote designer that works for a women's transformational/empowerment company based in NYC. So I'm either working from home or looking to work from new cities.

I've done a lot of personal development work and consider myself to be fairly aware and conscious. I'm considerate and very low impact on anyone's environment. I tend to leave places better than I found it.

I've got range—I'm everything from sweet to totally badass, whatever the situation calls for I can adapt fairly well. My life experiences could be considered alternative—open minded, heart-centered, going against the grain, and forging new trails.

Philosophy: Listen, be kind, appreciate, say thank you and do an act of kindness without need for reciprocation. Awareness and curiosity are some of your best teachers. Be 100% responsible and accountable for your shit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I tend to be shy and keep to myself. So I want to push my edge and meet interesting, kind people when I travel. It excites and scares me at the same time.

I try to "be a local" as much as possible—hanging out in the non-tourist areas, eating at local places, and just relaxing and taking it in. Btw July and Oct 2016, I'll be traveling across the US and staying in several cities that I'm interested in. I'm curious what it's like to live in some place other than where I've lived. I'd love to stay with you, so I can learn about the city, get some great advice, share some stories and then I can move on to a place where I will be staying for the remainder of the 2-3 weeks in that city.

Interests

I love partner dancing and have learned 3 different types. I love anything to do with moving my body and like to be fairly active whether that's outdoors or going to the gym.

I'm pretty handy and crafty too, being a designer lends itself to other creative endeavors.

These days I've taken up growing veggies out of pots because I live in an apt.—it's part of learning to be more self sustaining and connected to my food. I'm also a bit of a health nut—eat healthy and go to alternative/preventative doctors.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: If I can dance to it, I like it. I'm bad at remembering such details as names of songs, books I've read and movies I've seen.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Depends on how one defines amazing.

I've heard whales sing while diving in Hawaii—the most surreal and haunting sound ever. Dove in the Great Barrier Reef. been to Burning Man 6 times. Jumped out of airplanes, owned a motorcycle, lived in 3 major cities in the US and one outside. I've held my niece the first day she came home. And loved many.

Created an amazing life that is far beyond anything I could have imagined at 18, 21, 27, 30.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach/facilitate Breathwork and EFT(Emotional Freedom Technique).

I can share my experiences in alternative relationships.

What I want to learn is pretty wide open. I want to know people and hear what lights them up. I'm open to being irrevocably changed by deep interactions with other open-hearted and open-minded people.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Food, a meal, time and stories.

There's so much I could share, depending on one's appetite to know, to learn, to be impacted.

But I think sharing stories is where it all starts.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, France, Hong Kong, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In
