Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Networking over coffee and turning my photography passion into a career.
ABOUT ME
Chewing on a mint leaf, yoga in the backyard. Seattle sunshine.
I like the simple pleasures in life: good conversations, great friends and incredible food. There are very few people I don't like. My friends are a varied mix and I love it. I like to surround myself with people who are comfortable and confident in their own skin and embrace their interests by living passionate and creative lives.
I am in Seattle working the "day job + chasing art lifestyle." www.kaylynmesser.com
I have moved around a bit in my lifetime and have had the opportunity to visit some beautiful places and meet some incredible people. I worked as a sea kayak guide in SE Alaska for three seasons and fell in love with the Tongass. I settled in Seattle last year to try and plant a few roots (figurative and literal... my tomatoes look amazing!).
PHILOSOPHY
Life is best lived when in good company eating great food with engaging conversation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My friends told me about couch surfer. I do not have a couch at the moment but as soon as I do I would be more than happy to host.
I am always looking forward to learning new recipes from the people I meet. If you are in town and I can't host you I can probably at least feed you once.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
A lot of my friends live in Alaska and sleep on my couch when they end up in Seattle overnight. No experience on couchsurfing yet.
Interests
I like to teach myself how to do things and work with my hands: bake, refinish furniture, make syrups/jams, garden, give deep back rubs, pick berries, sew, knit, change tires, read maps and charts...
I like people who are different from myself. I really enjoy hearing other people's stories, life experiences, little moments in an every day, hopes, travels and reminiscences. I am constantly in awe of the different paths people take in life and where it leads them.
I like to write letters - real ones on paper that come in the mail with stamps. I've been told that they are hilarious.
