Hola todos! Me llamo Benny y estoy planeando una mes en Colombia y Chile entre 24 Septiembre y 24 Octubre. Tengo tios y abuelos en Colombia, pero como soy joven quiero conocer nueva gente tambien y aprender do como vive, come, y divierta la gente Colombiano. Me gusta cocinar, explorar, conversar etc y tengo ya experiencias muy positivas de ambos Couchsurfing y de Colombia!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like showing travellers around wherever I'm living. Usually that means we can play guitar on the beach and go surfing or spearfishing!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing accross Canada was definately a great experience! The Aussies are also super fun and friendly! Colombian couchsurfing was equally epic :)

Interests

I love travelling and meeting new people, playing guitar, being outdoors, cooking (and trying new foods), drinking wine and telling funny stories.
I like hanging out with people from different backgrounds and learning about crazy customs and stuff!

Music, Movies, and Books

I read a lot so these lists are always outdated. I like stuff from the beat generation (Kerouac, Thompson etc), Humanitarian stuff (the bottom billion, the end of poverty) and lots of other stuff. My favorite books, movies etc are the ones that people give to me or tell me that I "have to read" it. Those ones almost always turn out really good!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Tagged sea-turtles in the Meso-American Reef (for science!), diagnosed parasites in children in the Andes, traveled by 70 foot canoe in the amazon tributaries (cuz i was bored), been intimidated by wild Elk in the Rocky Mountains,portaged in northern Canada, hitchiked 5000 km in one summer (best summer ever), 2 week walkabout with the Bunjalung, ran a medical aid trip to Vanuatu... lots more to come!

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to learn how to cook different ethnic foods. Are you a good cook? We should definitely hang out! I can teach you how to tell if someone's faking appendicitis to get meds ;)
