About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Growing wholesome food for our community / Learning / Loving life

ABOUT ME

Sarah and I are in our first year of organic farming, and loving it. Sometimes we'll sit in silence and read and think and crochet, other times we'll drink a little wine and be raucous and silly and make each other laugh.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is like an ocean.
To answer the question from this exact moment in time would only be to try to name one of the fish. This particular fish is an Absorbento-expulsive Transistor Eeeel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have had many irreplaceable experiences and made many fond memories couch surfing, and would like to return the favor - we'll be happy to host interesting people like the ones we have met.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have surfed a few couches and are amazed at the generosity and open-heartedness of complete strangers. It reminds me of the beauty in people that is sometimes missed in everyday life.

Interests

MUSIC
If you come to stay with us, bring instruments!
LEARNING
I love to learn about philosophy, religion, spirituality, politics, and organic agriculture or science in general.

The household in general shares an interest in Activism (Environmental and Political), Christ, Zen, Vipassana meditation, bicycling, making friends smile by acting goofy, helping the poor, promoting a fossil-fuel free world, non-consumerism, and cooperation.

We enjoy learning about and exploring different ways of life than this society has currently presented. This culture is destructive and exploitative and can not continue to pursue its current course without destroying all biodiversity. We as citizens of this planetary blessing are called to preserve and persevere. We must heal the land and our wounds that have been inflicted by this society. It's fun and rewarding to do this, even though we are really only just starting out on this venture.

Music, Movies, and Books

These have stolen away many of the most precious moments of my life. charles mingus, frank zappa, thomas merton, the color of paradise, waking life - the list could go on and on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bicycle from Vancouver, British Columbia to Tijuana, Mexico.

Teach, Learn, Share

We're willing to share anything that we know (which is rather limited), and excited to learn from you, especially crafty stuff like crochet, basket weaving, cooking, preserving foods, and anything farm-related (we're rather new at this).
