We are a couple currently on a trip that will hopefully take six months and take us down both American coasts and through Central America. We are both very liberal and open although we also enjoy a bit of peace and quiet in between. We are always trying to expand our horizons and learn something new - hence the trip.

PHILOSOPHY

We believe in being honest, real, authentic and any other word that describes going by your own instincts. It takes all types... so long as you are not fake.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have hosted people when we have the space, whether it is just those looking for a place to lay their heads or those that want the whole CS experience and all of our local knowledge.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All of our hosting experiences have been positive, if just for the fact that they helped us meet some great new people. Some have become friends, some we have less in common with, but they were all worthwile.

We are still to couchsurf with someone and are frankly a little disappointed in the lack of replies to most of our requests as we start our trips. We are however looking forward to meeting some great people in the coming months.

Interests

We enjoy snowboarding in the winter, surfing in warmer climates, hiking or biking whatever is available - be it beach or mountain, beach volleyball, frisbee, listening to music, going out, meeting friends, eating good food and also snuggling up with a good show or movie. Above all we love seeing new places, beautiful nature and fascinating wildlife.

Music, Movies, and Books

We love good movies and tv shows and sometimes, especially during the Icelandic winter, it is more about the experience than what you're watching. Lately we have been equally hooked on Sex & the city, Lost, The Wire, Desperate Housewifes and True Blood. During the summer we are mostly outside.

We listen to a lot of music, both together and as individuals. Sigur Rós, Kings of Convenience, The Roots, Common, Ben Harper, John Legend... mostly laid back and soulful.

We both loved Stieg Larsson but a lot of times we don't enjoy reading the same stuff... it helps us both bring something different to the table.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing monkeys and sloths up close and in the wild, running across the Icelandic highlands, the christmas lights in New York City, Surfing in Portugal... everything is amazing if you immerse your self in what you're doing!

Teach, Learn, Share

Together we know business, art, marketing, design. We have opinions on plenty of things and try to make sure they are founded on something.

We would love to learn more languages and know more cultures but for every one thing that you learn you figure out two more you want to know about. Hopefully that never stops.
