ABOUT ME

I live and breathe old stuff! That sounds funny I know but it's true :) I love history in all its forms and can debate museum ethics and cultural property for hours and not get bored. I can also talk about utter nonsense for hours and be equally entertained.

I can be very random and have been known to "bust a move" on a whim. I will also sing theme songs to you if you ask... and sometimes even if you don't. I'm always up for a laugh.

My nickname is "Mama Amber" because of my instinct to look out for friends and strangers alike...and my ridiculous housewife habits. Everybody needs a bit of love ;)

I haven't had one yet but I am thoroughly looking forward to the whole experience.

兴趣

I am interested everything from reading, gardening and baking to sharing stories over a pint, dancing my socks off to running naked through the park, walking the countryside to skinny dipping. I'm always willing to try anything once. I love to walk through cities and experience their history first hand. I lOVE to dance. I have taken bellydancing, latin, ballet and ballroom but love to just let go and let my body move.

Books: Romance, history, cookbooks, Idiots Guide to whatever, biographies, science fiction, fiction, DIT books. Shakespeare, Joyce, Austen, Yeats, Hayden, O'Connor, Monning, Harris, Roberts, Tolkien. I love books and own well over 2,000. I may need to go to an AA group for book addicts.

Music: Music in all forms makes me smile all over my face. Lately I've been listening a lot to Koop, Mirah (not to be confused with Ms/Mrs. Carey), Damian Rice, Ella Fitzgerald, Kings of Leon, Queen, Adelle, Fiona Apple, Blue October (fan-fucking-tastic band), Roisin Murphy and a bunch of French groups as all of my flatmates are French (or French Canadian in the case of the beautiful Iza).

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I fell in love once. It didn't work out and la da da da di but that saying "Better to have loved and lost, then to have never loved at all" is true. I'd fall in love again in a heartbeat (tehe). It brings a whole new meaning to "I'm walking on sunshine."

The two most important things I have learned so far in life are to laugh and smile. Even when your world seems to be falling down find something to laugh about. Smiling and laughter are contagious and it has been medically proven that both are good for your health.
